| Job Description: |
- Checks news wires, newspapers, company Web sites and filings to gather and monitor information, and write articles about industries and companies SNL covers.
- Writes news articles based on newspaper stories, press releases and filings, as well as assigned features.
- Edits documents for style, content and accuracy, when necessary.
- Completes other assignments or projects as assigned.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within finance industry helpful
Note - Candidates for the position will be required to take a writing test. |
| Required Skills: |
Outstanding written communication skills are required, including high-level grasp of English-language grammar.
Familiarity with journalistic story structure and styling conventions also mandatory.
Strong verbal communication skills.
News writers must have basic computer literacy and a familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent planning and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. |
